

Kwadrat Architectural Studio in the Baltic city of Gdynia has won an international competition for the design of a World War II Museum in Gdansk. The Gdynia-based studio beat 128 competitors. The construction of the museum is to start in 2012. The official opening ceremony is planned for September 1, the 75th anniversary of the outbreak of WWII.

The role of the event will remain the same - to present the cultures which created the industrial power of former Łódź: Polish, Jewish, German and Russian. The credo of this year’s edition of the Festival is ‘Returns’.
>>The 5th edition of Coke Live Music Festival is about to kick off. The event will bring concerts from Muse, Chemical Brothers and others. The festival will take place at an airfield of the Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow on August 20 and 21.
