Łukasz Kuropaczewski – Polish Music – Polish Radio SA
The album contains pieces by émigré Polish composer Aleksander Tansman originally written for the guitar (‘Suite in Modo Polonico’, ‘Cavatina’) and ‘Folk Songs’ written for piano by Witold Lutosławski arranged by Jose de Aspiazu. Kuropaczewski decided to record the album with Polish music on the suggestion of his Maestro – Manuel Barrueco. The recorded material is described as sublime. ‘Tansman’s compositions are among the most often performed pieces by Polish composers. I consider him an excellent artist who is widely acknowledged by world guitarists.’ Kuropaczewski told ‘Polish Market’.

Herbie Hancock – the phenomenal jazz pianist and composer known for his collaboration with Miles Davis is to give three concert in Poland. The "Herbie Hancock Sextet" concerts are scheduled in Katowice on Nov 30, Warsaw on Dec 1 and Poznań on Dec 2 as part of the Year of Climate and Environment Poznań 2008 programme. >>
