Michel Platini President of the UEFA, the European football governing body, has arrived in Poland to evaluate the stage of preparations for EURO 2012. Open'er for the 7th time!
The 7th edition of the Heineken Open'er Festival sets off today. The event will last until Sunday. It takes place in Gdynia on the Babie Doły Airfield. The Festival features world rock, pop and club music celebrities including: Massive Attack, Chemical Brothers, Sex Pistols, Erykah Badu and Róisín Murphy. Poland will be represented by i.e. Cool Kids of Death, Ścianka, Lao Che and Kobiety.  >>

After six months of proceedings a compromise has been reached in court over top Polish Miś Uszatek (Earflap Teddy Bear) TV cartoon copyright, TV24 reports. The lovable character was created by a Polish writer Czesław Janczarski and cartoonist Zbigniew Rychlicki. The teddy bear first appeared in the children’s magazine “Miś”. The heirs of the editor in chief of the magazine sued a company which is now producing the foppy-eared cuddly toy. The court case blocked their sales as the court banned the production and sales of Earflap.  >>
