University of Silesia in Katowice is one of the largest higher educational institutions in Poland. It has 12 departments: of Arts, Biology and Environmental Protection, Ethnology and Education Sciences, Language Studies, Information Technology and Materials Science, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Social Sciences, Education and Psychology, Law and Administration, Theology and the K. Kieślowski Department of Radio and Television.
Uniwersytet Bialystok
Medical University of Bialystok is a public school founded in 1950. Its seat is in the former Branicki Palace, a historic building from the 18th century, the most magnificent and precious historic building in Bialystok. It is located right in the city centre and surrounded by the Palace garden and a vast park. It has a conveniently based campus, comprised of buildings housing the departments of basic medical sciences, clinical hospitals, two dormitories as well as sports and recreation facilities.
