Opole Brand Final Gala 2007

Since the beginning of the competition, Opole-based companies have been competing in three categories: the best product, service, and export. Last year a new category was added, “enterprise,” which awards companies supporting their employees in building their professional career.
The aim of the competition is to make the Opole Brand a symbol of best quality, guaranteeing that products or services awarded this title are innovative.
Opening the gala of the Opole Brand, deputy Province Chairman Józef Kotyś encouraged owners of companies to use funds from the Regional Operational Programme allocated for the expansion of micro-companies and the SME sector. “Within this programme our region allocates 37% for supporting business development, which is most among all Polish regions.” Józef Kotyś also pointed out that one must not forget about the most important thing – people, their dignity and proper living standards.
As in the previous years, the “Nowa Trybuna Opolska” magazine conducted a poll among its readers. Most of the 535 votes cast for the “service” category went to the Entrepreneurship Incubator at the “Association for Entrepreneurship Promotion” in Opole, and the winner in the “product” category was frozen pâte feuilletée and pâte demi-feuilletée produced by Soprano from Głubczyce.
