Anna Streżyńska ECO president remarks in the paper: “We shall be approaching the EU average in three years which is an ambitious but practical plan”. At present Poland is second last on the EU list as regards access to wideband internet.
ECO wants central government, local government and EU finance to be brought into the process of increasing the number of permanent links.
Gazeta Prawna claims that the construction of an infrastructure with EU support Poland would like to see implemented in Małopolska province. The purpose of constructing a wideband internet web here is to give access by 2010 to at least 90 pct of households and all province institutions.
At present Telekomunikacja Polska is the largest supplier of rapid internet links . 900,000 customers have access to cable TV.
