Average wages go up in Q1

The average wage in Poland in the first quarter of 2008 increased to PLN 2983.98, the Central Statistical Office has announced. In the last quarter of 2007 the average wage amounted to PLN 2899.83 while the whole-year average amounted to PLN 2691.03.

The current figures show a 6.3% increase as compared with 2006 and are 10.5% higher than in 2005, Bankier.pl reports.
