In construction diamonds are used on sanding discs and drills to cut brick, silicate, reinforced concrete and regular concrete. In this method water-cooled 2-4mm diamonds (the size depends on the size of the drilling) cut materials very cleanly, similarly to a laser beam.
This technique allows easy cutting of wall-embedded steel rods and girders, while more traditional cutting methods tend to damage the entire structure through the use of force. Diamonds are also used to smooth out uneven concrete surfaces and cut other construction materials.
We offer a full range of diamond-cutting services to prestigious clients like Hochtief Polska, Kajima Europa, Tebudin, Strabag and Skanska. We also cooperate with the Opole University of Technology. Among others we drilled openings in a weir in a hydroelectric plant on the River Odra, where the concrete was decayed. We also helped determine how deep underwater the damage went.
We also offer one-off services on a unique scale, like a recent project involving salvage work on a historical tenement in Wrocław. The building was in renovation and the builders had demolished the wrong wall by mistake. In effect the whole building tilted 12 centimeters to one side. No-one knew what to do. That’s when we came in. Using diamond drills we went 3-4 metres deep into the adjacent walls and filled the openings with a special glue. Next, we installed metal rods into the openings. Thanks to this the house could be set straight.
We also offer a wide assortment of diamond-cutting machinery and equipment, including saws, drills, cutters, and sanding discs.
There are twelve companies like ours in Poland, but we’re the only one in Lower Silesia. Our line of work requires vast experience, and more is currently being built in Lower Silesia than anywhere else in Poland.
Diament System was founded in 2004. Our turnover been growing with each year. At the moment the figure is around PLN 1 million – and this in a company employing only 8. We use Hilti, Husqvarna and Cedima specialist equipment and also work abroad. We’ve received several offers from Holland, which has only one diamond-cutting firm.
Diament System is an innovative company. It’s not easy to develop a truly innovative product but once you do, the road to success is really not too long. At first we had to encourage others to use our technology, now they’re queueing up for it.
