The plant located in Rydzyna manufactures helically corrugated steel pipes, PEHD pipes and structures used in the construction of culverts, bridges and fauna overpasses and underpasses. ViaCon Polska was the supplier of Europe’s largest overpasses for animals built with the use of bendable structures over the Konin-Koło stretch of the Polish A2 motorway and over the international E-20 railway line near Rzepin, western Poland. Additionally, the company also offers a wide range of geotextiles, non-woven geofabrics, geonets and geocomposites for the separation, reinforcement, drainage and filtration of subsoil and foundation, as well as nets to reinforce bituminous pavements.
ViaCon Polska Sp. z o.o. is a member of ViaCon Group founded in 1986 in Sweden and Norway. ViaCon Polska has been honoured with numerous awards including the title of Polish Trader of the Year 2006 in the construction materials category (granted in 2007), the Economic Prize of Wielkopolskie Province 2005 in the small enterprise category (granted in 2006), the Cent for Future award from “Polish Market” in the Hope of the Polish Market 2006 category (granted in 2005), the Golden Euro award from “Polish Market” in the Hope of the Polish Market 2007 category (granted in 2007), the Hit 2005 title for the production of pipes and structures for the construction and modernisation of culverts, overpasses and underpasses for animals and other engineering structures (granted in 2006), the Klon (Maple) 2005 title for outstanding business results achieved in conjunction with Bank Ochrony Środowiska (granted in 2005), the Award of the “Polskie Drogi” Magazine and Road and Bridge Research Institute for developing the technology of road culvers made of corrugated steel (granted in 2004), the 3 Prize at the 4th Road-Building Fair Drogpol 2001 in the best product and technology category for culverts made of corrugated steel (granted in 2001), the 2nd Prize at the 3rd Road Building Fair Drogpol 2000 in the best product category for PE HDPE DV optima pipes and fittings, helically corrugated steel pipes with fittings and Multi Plate MP 150-2000 corrugated steel structures (granted in 2000), the Honorary Mention of the Polish Chamber of Road Building for innovative solutions in road and bridge structures at the 4th International Road Building Fair Autostrada Polska in 1998, and other distinctions at road and bridge building fairs.
An important factor behind the company’s success is that its products are tailored to customer needs and are based on the most modern technological solutions. ViaCon Polska works with Polish and foreign research centres including the Road and Bridge Research Institute, universities of technology in Kraków, Opole, Poznań, Śląsk, Warsaw and Wrocław, and the University of Zielona Góra. This cooperation has resulted in more than 10 research projects on geotextiles and bendable pipes and structures as well as lectures for students.
