Częstochowa – risk-free investment
With a 250,000-strong population and 4 million tourists each year visiting its Jasna Góra Sanctuary, one of the main religious centres of the Christian world, Częstochowa is a very absorbent consumer market. It is also a bustling academic centre and has a long tradition of fine craftsmanship, which translates into highly-skilled human resources trained to work in today’s modern economy.
Częstochowa is also home to some of the best-run domestic and foreign financial institutions, widely acclaimed in Poland and abroad. Proof of how highly-appreciated Częstochowa’s financial market, strategic planning and growth prospects are is the long-term BBB rating given it by the Fitch Ratings international ratings agency. Equally high-ranked is the city’s investment climate, for which Czestochowa receives a Fair Play Borough certificate each year. Since 2004 the city also boasts ISO 9001:2001 quality certification, which for investors means top-class public management and administration.
Investors in Częstochowa can also settle in a sub-section of the Katowice Special Economic Zone or the Czestochowa Industrial Park, both offering numerous tax reliefs for enterprisers. Both terrains are attractive and have drawn a number of large foreign operators, including TRW Automotive, Guardian Industries Poland SA, Germany’s BST Safety Textiles sp.z o.o. and Italy’s Brembo.
Aware that new projects generate new jobs, Częstochowa authorities aim to extend the city’s investment offer beyond production. The city is very eager to welcome servicers, especially in the leisure and recreation branch, and has very attractive terrain excellently suited for tourism and sports, including:
- a fully-armed, 1,62-hectare downtown lot with a functioning sport and recreation centre (pool, skating-rink, mini golf, small gyms).
- a 41-hectare recreation park with three water reservoirs for summertime swimming and basic catering facilities close to Jasna Góra. Best-suited for a sport and recreation facility (aquapark, tennis courts, etc.).
- a currently modernized speedway track on Olsztyńska Street. Seating 20,000 and located on a 9,5-hectare lot, the object offers openings for infrastructure modernizers, especially in areas around the main stadium.
- a 2-hectare lot 1,5 kilometres from the city centre with a sports hall and a summer pool. Planned here is a new hall for 8-10,000 people suited for international meetings, an indoor swimming pool and sport and catering infrastructure.
Considering the current shortage of such objects in Czestochowa and the fact that the city’s population has often declared it would make avid use of them if it had them, such projects promise to bring truly fast returns.
