Police is a regional leader in the utilization of EU funds, which have helped to raise local living standards and industry to an impressive level. Pursuing a well-weighed sustained growth strategy, Police authorities have also successfully put through a number of important environmental projects, the most notable effects of which are a new waste processing and storage plant, a modern water-improvement plant, and new gas and sewage systems.
