17th Bayer and UNEP International Children's Painting Competition
Work awarded in the 17th International Children’s Painting Competition will be on display in Zachęta National Gallery of Art in Warsaw from September 9.
Since 1991, 190,000 boys and girls from more than 100 countries have submitted pictures for the competition. It has been an integral part of the partnership between Bayer and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) since 2004.

The exhibition presents work chosen from thousands of pictures submitted to the competition’s organizers. The theme of the exhibition are nature and Earth facing contemporary environmental threats as seen by children with special focus on preservation of climate and environment – the most significant national heritage for which we bear responsibility.
The Warsaw exhibition is to encourage Polish children to participate in the next, 18th, edition of the competition which is an invitation to express ideas about how to fight climate change.

The exhibition is open until October 9, 2008.
