Polish cities to alleviate the crisis
In 2010 Poland’s 12 largest cities are planning to spend between them PLN 36.8 billion, data released by the Union of Polish Metropolises (UMP) show.
Poland’s largest cities intend to spend PLN 9.3 bn on investments next year. This is PLN 420million less than this year, but 2008 and 2009 are considered a period when local governments carried out projects on an unprecedented scale, ‘Puls Biznesu’ reports.
The City of Warsaw is to earmark PLN 2.69 billion for investments in 2010 – PLN 276 mn more than in 2009.
